Isaac

This little boy is absolutely obsessed with balls. Actually anything roundish that he can throw. He often mistakes apples for balls. They end up pretty bruised. But seriously, nothing else entertains him. And he has to have one with him at all times- which is difficult at church.

He loves his little hoop.

Has to have a ball while he's eating.

And this is his favorite green ball. He loves it because it's bouncy and he can palm it. Watch the video.

Is that normal?

Tahi and Kaaz(that's a long a)

I was down in Orange County with Isaac a few weeks ago and got to go to dinner with the Brown family. so cute!

Tagged? I've been tagged so many times by so many different people and I always fully intend to answer the questions but I never do. Last week Jonathan and I were reading Palmer and Nicole's blog and they were answering a tag and Jonathan was like, "hey what a great idea". This came as a total and complete shock to me since he is never fond of divulging personal information and even less often is he interested in "fun facts" about other people. He has often made fun of he world of blogging/blagging, but now that a few of his friends(or more likely, his friends' wives) have blogs, he actually likes them. I love it. So in honor of Jonathan's new found love of the blog, an entry for the tag. These are questions I was given via an email tag.

1. Most embarrasing moment.
Classic. Many of you can agree that I have had many and you may disagree whether the one I've chosen is actually the MOST embarrasing, but I am gonna go with a mission experience. Short version- a few weeks into the mission, I was asked to bear my testimony about a "spiritual experience" I had had that week. I confused the Japanese word for spiritual with the word for sexual (they are sooooo close- i kid you not). So I told everyone that I had had a number of sexual experiences that week, so it was hard to narrow down which one I wanted to share. But the most sexual was an experience my companion and I had with a man we met on the train- it gets worse from there, but yeah, I didn't know why it got so quite or why everyone had such blank stares on their faces or why the elders were laughing. When I sat down, my companion(psycho) wouldn't tell me what was going on but told me to look the word up in the dictionary-which being characters, took me about 10 minutes. When I found it, I instantly broke out in an intense sweat and fealt like vomiting. Mortified.

2. Favorite Foods
Chocolate, Cafe Rio Pork Salad, Gyoza

3. Favorite Vacation
Wow- I just love vacations in general, but I can narrow it down to 3- The Grand Canyon in an RV with 15 of my closest friends in college, Lake Powell-too many trips to count-all amazing, Backpacking through Europe(who came up with that name anyway?)and Cancun-last year. I was pregnant and we took Micahlyn, doesn't sound ideal but you are missing the best part. we also took my mom and dad. it was awesome.

4. Favorite TV shows
Yeah, we pretty much only watch Dora and Sportscenter around here. 24 if it would ever start and Las Vegas(trashy, i know). oohhhh and The Office.

5. Name 3 things most people probably don't know about you.
Wow- funny thing is, i've never been a very private person. I could write a whole list of things about Jonathan, but me? ok- 1- I love game shows, I don't watch them much any more but I used to. I'm not sure if it's my competetive nature or the chance to win money that I in no way earned or deserved that is thrilling-probably a combination of the 2 but I was on and won on the Price is Right many years ago and last year I made my husband and syblings go on the family feud with me. It was awesome- we were on it for 5 days (actually filmed all in 1 day) we had so much fun. 2-I hate, hate high fives- i am stern about not giving them, i will give the occasional fist but not high fives. this rule was however, compromised while on the family feud with the occasional high ten- of the same family and equally embarrassing. 3-I dream of playing Galinda the good witch in Wicked- it doesn't have to be on Broadway- although i'm sure my talents are equal to the task.

Ok, Ok I officially tag Mariah, Claire, Mehrsa and Dan and Janay-Dan, I am expecting big things.

FAMILY PICTURES

In an attempt to get my mom to replace the embarrasing tribute to the nineties that was our family photo, hanging in her entry, we took family pictures over Christmas break. We also thought it was about time since there have been a few in laws and about 8 grandkids added to the mix since the last one. It was kind of a disaster-it rained that morning and the kids didn't want to get dressed up. Micahlyn fell asleep in the car on the way, so we had to wake her up when we got there and she was less than happy with us. All in all, we were lucky to get any shots without an absolute scowl on her face. I have a feeling it's only going to get harder.

You gotta love the cheezy lean in picture. We kicked out all the in-laws for this one.
