All of the Hawkins family was in town for conference and mission reunions so we rented a cabin up in Heber for the weekend. Micahlyn would like to think we went just for her birthday, but she just got lucky. We haven't gotten really into birthdays yet since she still has no idea what's going on. She is just happy that people keep giving her shiny things and that she gets to eat cake with no bib. She loved everything but was super attached to the 10 new pair of fairy princess shoes grandma gave her(a must have for any 2 yr old diva) and the make-up case that her evil aunt Laura gave her( I have found glitter in every corner of my house). Isaac enjoyed the festivities also- although, Jonathan thinks we should probably get Micahlyn a doll so that Isaac can get a break from the dress up parties.

Melissa, I don't care if the time we communicate in years is because my shoes still had the wide tag on them: I'm so glad to have you back in my life. Yeah, it's blagging, but so glad to be able to check up on you, say the occassional hello, and find ample opportunity to say things like "My gosh, your children are adorable" and "Eating cake with no bib? You've figured most of it out, haven't you?" Yay!
that shoe case is seriously IT. That has to be the best present for a girl toddler EVER.
My 2-year-old got the same set of shoes for her birthday last month, and it's all fun and games until one of 'em comes flying at your head! Those shoes are dangerous - for real! Your family is so cute! Take care, Julie G.
